The Colorado Rockies finished their homestand by sweeping the Houston Astros and earning a 6-6 record.

They then headed west to face the San Diego Padres, where they lost three consecutive games. (In fairness, they were closer games than the scores suggest, so baby steps.)

Troy Johnston high fives teammates in the dugout while wearing the Rockies new purple home run coat.

Also, the rockies a new (and very cool) home run celebration coat.

Off the field, however, there was still big news and the Rockies announced the Penner Sports Group has purchased a 40% ownership stake. (The Penner Group owns, among other things, the Denver Broncos.)

The changes will keep coming — and that’s a good thing.

In the meantime, here’s what happened on Purple Row.

After the Rockies finish their series with the Padres, they will again face the Astros, but this time in Houston. (If nothing else, the games will be earlier.)

Look for our next update to publish next Sunday.

Until then, let’s go Rockies!
